1. Your mindset…

2. Your sleep…
I’m sure you’ve noticed how much harder it is to eat well and move your body when you are tired. Everything is SO much harder.
Studies suggest that people who sleep fewer than 6 hours per night gain almost twice as much weight over a 6-year period as people who sleep 7 to 8 hours per night.
When you don’t get enough sleep your hunger hormones could be getting out of whack (science word vomit… lower levels of leptin and higher levels of ghrelin – both stimulating hunger and appetite).
With busy work schedules, social calendars and kids, our sleep health can feel really out of our control.
The truth is, there is still much within our control (my Coach Anna helped me see this even though I had a newborn that refused to sleep!).
In fact, most people lose sleep due to voluntary bedtime delay. We cut back on sleep because we choose to. We watch TV. We browse the internet. I like to call this revenge procrastination.
We feel like we deserve it because we’ve given everything to everyone and we need a little ‘me-time’. Often, what we need most, is a good sleep!
Sleep well, live well.
3. Your environment…
Your environment plays a HUGE role in the habits you choose. And your habits ultimately create your results.
Motivation holds little to no power in longterm change. Sure, it may get you started, but it’s your habits that keep you moving. And habits are much easier when the environment is right. Your habits and your environment are the same.
Put boldy, your environment is the invisible hand that can shape your behaviour – and it is a hand we can manipulate.
